Powerful Cooling Effect
FK-5-1-12 fire extinguishing agent is a colorless, odorless andnon-electrical conducting gaseous fire suppression agent, used in scenarios where water-based fire suppression (for example, from a foam system) would be impractical or where it coud damage expensive equipments or property, such as museums, server rooms, banks, clean rooms and hospitals.
It is stored as a liquid under pressure and is discharged as a gas, during this transition called vaporization, it rapidly absorbs heat energy, expands quickly to displace oxygen.

HOW IT WORKS
When discharged, FK-5-1-12 rapidly absorbs heat from the fire. This helps to cool the surrounding air and surfaces, reducing the temperature below the ignition point of the fuel.
FK-5-1-12 is a gas when released and quickly expands to fill the protected space. By doing so, it displaces oxygen in the vicinity of the fire. The reduction in oxygen concentration inhibits the combustion process, as fire requires a certain level of oxygen to sustain itself.
